David+Tetch Wedding
It was a good surreal morning when the sun broke out to a bright sunny day for David and Tetch’s wedding when the past days have been raining cats and dogs. It felt like Christmas morning. Our amiable Filipina girl meets his prince charming in a cracker-barrel youth pastor. 25th July is the date they tied the knot and vowed to love each other through thick and thin in Manila.
They are always the funny couple…They are your typical girl-next-door and country boy with pocketful of antics and surprises. They had the Kentucky Ale8 instead of the traditional champagne or wine – what else can you conclude! The ceremony and the reception are just tips of an iceberg. The actual stuff always happen behind the scenes.
The DIY couple…Tetch actually did the make up for her mom and the entourage. Go gurl!An adage once said that looking into your own eyes in a mirror will reveal your one true love. Hmmmm….The laughter and joy of the children still rings in my ear…I love these pictures. I titled these two “When my little sister got married”. I was teary eyed when Tetch’s brother embraced his little sister and it seemed like forever before he let go.80% of our photos are not staged and are just upshots of being on the qui vive for those moments that will be treasured for a lifetime. Some say it is a type of photojournalism but we just can’t resist letting the events flow and just be witnesses with a recorder (our Canon 50Ds + 400D) of a once in a lifetime event.
The stolen glances,..the suppressed tears,…the unconscious smiles,…and unheard whispers of endearment –these are the moments when life seems to be in standstill.
Spontaneity is our instrument and these are the results.
We wanted to highlight the beauty of simplicity bringing about the true feelings one should feel when witnessing true love perceivable in its physical form. Thanks David and Tetch for letting us capture these moments.
